Ahem here's the reasons to hire me Kage   Giza et all at AC. I'm huge I'm Buff   did i mention I'm as big as a frickin building? I tolerate  zero  shennaigans and  will stomp out the bad seeds.  Media an issue  * burp* what media.   What  bad furs * throws annoying drunk and stoned furries intot he river.  Dont mind the paw craters .    Anyone  doing bad inside the building gets sent to me and will service the community by servicing my needs;)  Huge  buff wolf  120-150' tall if i dont slouch.  Bad furries wont exist because  they might cease to exist;)

I have excellent Social skills see no one ever backtalks to me they do whatever i say! They even wave thier hands up with big  smiles and walk away backwards then run off.

 I have experience handling the army too!  Tanks make excellent play things.  And  can lift and transport heavy loads  with no use for machinery.  who needs  shuttle bus when i can just  lift and drop the runts off at the  hotels.  broken elevator no worry i can simply  lift to the windows at least  200' up. So  am i hired?

Oh and i can plant a mean flower bed too.

OK, author? You know the French guy? The one who was born and raised in France, has a French accent so thick I could pick it up and beat you over the head with it, and has to keep asking what English words mean because his first language is French and all?

If he got a MySpace message in French, he probably would not need to run it through an online translator because he's "so used to speaking in English".

Just a thought.

Dear young female fic writers in general (and young female HP fic writers in particular)*,
Please stop describing your characters as "thin but curvy." Thin women generally have small hips and small breasts. Curvy women generally have broad hips and larger breasts. Given the context, I think you want us to picture someone with a tiny waist and hips (thin) and huge breasts (curvy.) Not to put too fine a point on it,  but breasts are fat tissue. Hence, unless surgical enhancement was involved, your very thin character will not have a D-cup rack.  If you look at naturally thin actresses like Kiera Knightley and Kyra Sedgwick, you will notice that they do not have exceptionally large breasts. Please take note of this, and remember there is absolutely nothing wrong with being just plain curvy, sans the thin, or with being just plain thin, sans the curvy. See Marilyn Monroe and America Ferrera for examples of the former, and Kate Bosworth and Natalie Portman for examples of the latter. Your fic will be much better for giving your character a figure that actually occurs in nature.

P.S. If you have your 5'4" character worrying that she is not thin enough at 113 pounds and wanting to "get down to 100 to be thin" I will be both insulted (I'm 5'5" and 130 pounds and not fat at all, thankyouverymuch), and more than a little worried for your health. Also, it might give readers less secure in their image than I issues, especially if they really like/look up to your character.
*I understand this is a bit of a generalization, but most stories of this type I have read have been written by young women (11-15.)
ETA: Sorry if I offended anyone-I do realize that there are thin people with large breasts naturally, and I do apologize if I inadvertantly insulted you. The rant is more about the perception that some fanfic writers seem to have that the very thin'n'busty figure is the only attractive one, and that it is much more common than it actually is.  I just wish that all of us (from thin, to average like me, to curvy) could get some love in fanfic (and hell, real life) for our figure types.

Dear Fandom,

Sorry for beating a dead horse, but I'm disappointed in (general) you. It's the 2000s, yeah? I'm sure most of us have been taught that gender equality is a Good Thing, and I'm sure a lot of us, like me, even consider ourselves feminists.

...Can we please stop being sexist now? (I'm directing this rant mostly at you, fellow slashers.)

There's a very serious double standard going on here. Character A: Clingy girl who, in the beginning of the series, is annoyingly persistent about getting this guy who's not interested in her. Character B: Clingy guy who, in the beginning of the series, is annoyingly persistent about getting this guy who's not interested in him.

Both characters grow throughout their respective series, and they become much more mature, confident, independent people. And less clingy, too. Oh, but what do you know? Most fans can't stand Character A. She gets bashed a lot, and usually portrayed as a caricature of her useless former self, not as the strong woman she becomes. Meanwhile, Character B is also usually portrayed as his bratty former self, but he also has a giant cult of obsessively devoted fans who like the fact that he's annoyingly persistent. Fans who like the fact that he's always yelling/nagging at the guy he's in love with, and who like how he flies into fits of jealous rage when there's even the slightest possibility of his potential love interest forming a relationship with someone else.

Let's get this straight. (Haha. Horrible pun not intended.) A lot of female characters are hated because it's so "gross" when they're chasing unrequited love, or when they need to be rescued, or when they're trying too hard to be sexy. But it's okay for a male character to do these exact same things?

D: WTF is wrong with this world?!

(In case you guys are wondering, the characters who inspired this rant are Sakura from Naruto and Wolfram from Kyou Kara Maou, though the problem isn't just about them. Replace Sakura for Generally Useless Girl and Wolfram for Every Other BL Guy and it still happens, because BL Guys can get away with everything that their female equivalents can't. And no, I'm not bashing Wolf - I actually like the mature versions of both of these characters.)

Ok, so...

When you, specific author, says the following in a femslash fic (names replaced for confidentiality):

"Maria licked Joana's lower breasts (...)"

It makes me imagine Joana having two pairs of breasts. And after that, when you say:

"(...) Joana whimpers as Maria starts kissing her middle breasts (...)"

... Well, that makes me imagine Joana having three pairs of breasts. Let me tell you, it's a weird image. And I don't even know why! (Why you make me imagine that, not why it's a weird image.)

And this is just sharing a weird fact, because this has never happenned before; but every time you, same author, say something like "Joana reaches her arm (...)", "Maria looks at her breast (...)", or even "She pulls her leg aside (...)", can you tell what happens within my imagination?

I'll tell ya. I imagine that they have only one of whatever you just said. It's pretty weird suddenly imagining a one-armed Joana when in canon she has both arms perfectly intact. I'm not saying it's written wrong; it's just weird and hilarious at the same time because this is the only story that makes me imagine things like that.

So, in the end, I still appreciate your story because it just gave me some good laughs. :D

  But seriously OWw. They froze my whole right face right up to the eye ball.   Droopy lip and  twitchy eye and a numb nose  . And then it rains when i was going to work outside oh well.   Saw  one of the best rainbow displays i've seen in years  driving home   fleeting though i literlaly watched it dissolve as i passed under a rain cloud.    Three  seventy dollars or so later  Im not  getting  numbing pain when i take a  drink.  Short term finacial blow but im ok  The union says they will pay the bill. Thank god. Strike pay is pathetic But they did  throw us  a  BBQ  at a rally and provide us water and portapottied at picket locations.  And  Ugh when im in the union office.   I BECAME A COFFEE ADDICT !!!!!    I  disliek the stuff but i knwo what the  buzz does for me whenyour manningt he phone lines.  After you picket for a few hours then take the phone calling oh god you need a boost i swear my Coffees were more sugar then  coffee  but hot damn did it ever make me  alert for a few hours.  Now im jonesing for  uber sweet caffiene. Damn i dont even liek how  cofee tastes buyt i need that fix  in four weeks ive been hooked not fair.

Dear FFN HP author:

Hermione, Ginny, and Luna all like each other. I know this comes as a shock to you, seeing as they form the other half of the three most popular Harry het ships in fandom, but it's true. It took a while for Hermione and Ginny to warm up to Luna, but they have. Hermione is not going to discourage Harry from being friends with Luna in a post-OOTP fic. Ginny is not secretly planning to destroy Hermione's friendship with Harry. Luna likes both of them as much as she does Harry. Remember the mural in DH? Just because you see one or both of the girls as competition for your OTP does not mean they are not friends.

Also, I'm not buying "Ginny the psychopath" unless she's been hit with a curse or major head trauma (which could be an interesting fic come to think of it).

Dude.  Dude, seriously.  You can't just write down scenes from the canon word-for-damn-word and pretend that's a fanfiction.  We all know those scenes from the canon.  We probably all know them by heart (it is a small fandom and it is a very small body of canon to draw from).  You're not changing anything, you're not adding anything (the minor bullshit framing story you've put around those scenes from the canon is hardly sufficient), and you're essentially not writing fanfiction because there is NO FAN-ADDED FICTION GOING ON.  

I've seen this complaint a couple of times from other fandoms and did not expect to have to make it in mine.  I have been disappointed.

In regards to a recent breakup of two friends:

  tooth hurt.  Large fuilling feel out in my sleep perhaps  from grinding teeth and  i swallowed it i think  rear upper  right molar   no like me drinking or eating with exposed tooth insides.  


  Had to call  and vist FIVE dentists before i found an appointment. Some distance away.

Thank god  my union who i called  will cover the cost of this dental work while i am on strike in fact my union will pay for ANY benifits i am entitled to while the strike goes on. This means my pills  get covered if im Sick illget covered  my eyes and dental will be covered.  Its just a  few days wait seven to ten days. If i was laid off in clintar or other jobs id be so fuiked right about now.  Week four people thats right week FOOUR has passed we are entering WEEK FIVE . Starts Monday. All they asked was  status quo  giove us the same you gave Allother unionised workers   including yourselves. Privatization  Is not goingto save money it will cost way more.  Looka t your hydro bills and rember the ceo  using company money to fly helicopters to her cottage.


OH BTW  Torontonians you should be calling city hall by now.   Guess what. Toronto water is on strike too.  The water plants are being run by managers not allof them are trained or certified. Its in emergency lock down.   Thsoe guys are in there 24  seven.  A mistake will be made and  our  toronto water guys are professionals  who are liscened to test and do t he water JOb but you see the city wanted to  reduce the staff of your water plants for  dozens to  ONE or two guys. Yet during the strike  18 managers are in the plants 24 / 7. This isnt about garbage   toronto water walked on the pickets because they knew managements plans were UNSAFE.  Seriously Two staff members manning a plant yet it takes  18 mangers to  run on an emergency  skelton crew?   Funny how the media isnt talking about this eh?    Remember Walkerton?   This is peoples health   mayor miller is messing with this is YOUR city  these people do damn good work for you God i could never be  garbage man or a water plant guy those guys especially in water  KNOW thier stuff and they work  very hard. Frankly all of us want  either  legislation or a  settle ment but  the city dragging its feet we submitted a counter offer LAST week and they have not gotten back to us.  We  dont negotiate with the  media  like  chicken shit Mayor is.   In the private sector you cant fight for your job  or your rights very well. Dont hate us because we are  standing up  using a democratic right to protect ourselves.  Unions  helped get many of the thing we take for granted today.   My  communist  socialist ways  have history in one of canadas  bragging rights. HEALTH CARE. We fightt o get better jobs for all we  fight to imporve wages everywhere. Other unions  are joining us  the hotel workers have the  fire men have the CAW has.  CEp has.  The  pulp and paper  mill in The east coast has. Because we went and picketed for them  fighting for a pension plan.   CUPE  fighst for the fair deal for our cities  group to  tellthe province  downloading of provincally funded programs is  wrong. We  fight  for an increase in minimum wage. We also   take part in workers rights rallies  And this isnt abotu unionised  crap its abotu everyone.  OWrking class peopel are being attacked unfairly everywhere  being blamed for a recession  Sub prime morgages  High oil prices and  Fincial crises caused by greedy people on wall street.   Yet we bail them out but  when the workers get  hitt hey do nothing. Kindfa funny since  workers  livihoods good jobs and fair  wages for all put money into  the economy.  If 24 000 people and thier familes lose  jobs do you  not think the ripple effect of that will nto affect torontos local econmy? And actually t at number is closer to thrity thousand people. What we loose now you will never get back anywhere. This is about the future not the here and now. 

 Windors been on strike for  15 Weeks.  I dont think Toronto can handle 15 weeks.  and they rejected a contract those guys have balls of  fucking steel. Theyya re loosing  homes yet they  strike.  They know the value of the future. My hat goes off to those people in Windsor.

Just got back from the dentist. Great check up, but my baby molar doesn't have a root anymore. Dentist is pushing for an implant or bridge. I didn't make any decision but I was always favoring braces.

I put it off originally because working in a call center, I needed to talk clearly. Now that I'm unemployed, that's no longer an issue but I'm pretty sure my dental plan doesn't cover braces in full. So now it's out-of-pocket costs that's the hesitating factor.

Oh, and the stupid cat moment.

Last night Mayday just disappeared. Mom said she was hiding, but I didn't find her in any of her usual spots. What got me worried was that yesterday I went to the grocery store. I walked out the front door, heard thunder and thought, "It might rain before I get back home. Better get my umbrella." So I turn right around and go back into the house, without closing the front door. Hit Burger King (so I wouldn't buy a ton of food), got a few things and went home.

Mayday never showed up once. At first, I took Mom's comment that Mayday was hiding at face value and went about my business. When I didn't see her in any of her usual hangouts, I remembered not closing the front door when I went back in to get my umbrella. What if she ran out the front door? I started going back and forth from checking all her usual hangouts to worriedly checking the backyard. Just the sort of thing I need on a night that I need to get some sleep to catch the morning bus. I kept having bad thoughts about finding her dead body on my way to the bus stop.

Around 2:00 in the morning, I finally gave up and took a bath. Guess what I find upon opening the bathroom door. Mayday in her usual spot in the hallway!

Stupid cat.

Now all I have to do is get a job with dental benefits that'll kick in in time for my January dental check-up.

1) Can you please, please, please either warn for incest or give the pairing in the summary? It's really not pleasant to suddenly run into surprise father/son incest. YKINMK, I know, but this is one of the things that, personally, I think should really be warned about.

2) I know it's one possible meaning of the poor boy's name, but can we please stop with all the mentions of strawberries in titles or summaries for Ichigo-centric fics or chapters? Please? Even KT only went there once, for his chapter titles.

4) Bleach characters randomly breaking out into American chart hits? Fail! Especially if you're using anime and manga canon, rather than the musical one. Am I the only person on the Pit who likes Burimyu and is tempted to write fic based on those characterisations?

5) You do not have to be bigger than someone to beat them up. Really, you don't.

6) Physical attacks are not the only form of bullying in existence. And lashing out with your fists is not the only way to retaliate, especially when such an act is OOC.

7) Women can sexually harass men. It isn't a completely one-way thing, y'know.

Well I felt the same about this Harry Potter as I have about the last few I can remember. Generally... it's pretty and I am genuinely entertained to a certain degree, but I am left with an unsatisfied feeling in the end. I want more from the plot, but I feel it goes in ways that illicit a response from me like "....Ok... they're gonna do that all of a sudden?" then I sit back and enjoy the pretty colors again. The motivations of characters seem to me to be a bit random as well, or just not really explained enough. I was walking out last night with all these questions "Why'd they do this?" "Why did that happen?" "is there something I missed?" and then i just sigh, remembering it was pretty. I love the look, it totally bathes you in this other worldly feel. It's fantastic, but not over the top fantastic.... like toon town or alice in wonderland, or something along those lines. Id comment on performances but I don't feel the characters are developed enough for me to warrant a judgment.... although for some reason I find Emma Watson stunning.

I hope that you like her. I kept drawing and drawing but all I could come up with were these things that looked like anorexic chickens! Finally, I looked through some magazines and saw a pose I liked: woman with her head turned, chest forward, lying on her left hip. I moved the arms and gave her better clothes.
