I actually do write to my livejournal quite a bit.

I just don't post.

I guess this is the equivalent of opening your mouth to say something then closing it because, in your mind, you already finished the conversation. Or a fly flew in there and you got your protein and vitamins for the day.

Most of the time I write my posts, read them then decide they either a)Sound whiny or too ranty/random. Or! b)I lose interest in what I'm writing about.

That said, I have no excuse for not being more attentive to my friends list than I have. I do read posts from time to time. Not all of them, but a good portion of them. However, I am of the policy that I will not respond unless I have something to contribute. Not necesarily something meaningful, but at least something coherent.

And, and... and

well, something.

Uh, glasses. Ah yes, glasses. I have a pair now. I only need them for when I'm on the computer/reading or watching television. So basically, pretty much anytime I'm not sleeping. I do like them though. They make my face interesting. They also give me something to do with my hands while talking. I give them about two weeks before I break them.

Heh.

The Dragon King

The Dragon King is a marionette production by Tanglewood Marionettes. Its been around from almost 15 years and its owners and main performers happen to be my husband's cousins.

About four months ago my husband (Adam) was asked to do voice work for them. They know he has interest and a talent for voice acting, so they decided to give him a chance. He ended up doing voices for five of the characters.

Today they had their premier and naturally, they invited my husband and I. It was a wonderful show! It was a very light hearted comedy with beautiful scenery and storytelling. We had a lot of fun and laughed and screamed along with the younger crowd.
Unfortunately, it wasn't allowed to take pictures during the performance, so the few pictures I do have were taken just before it started and backstage.

The title background just before the performance started:

A giant squid, which is one of the characters in the play. She's almost six feet tall.

My husband and two of the marionettes he did voices for: the starving fisherman and the dragon king's chamberlain (sea turtle).

You can see a few more pictures and a description of the show on their main website.

I'm sorry, I just had to share! It was a wonderful experience.

So... I been living under a pile of boxes ... or slightly to the right of them just before crap junction.

We moved. Our new address is back in good ol' Attleboro, as opposed to North Attleboro where we used to live. Actually, we still technically do since the old place is still ours until the end of this month.

...and there's still stuff there ...

BECAUSE we suck at carrying stuff down 3 floors then up 2 and a half floors. Not to mention that, of course, lawn care season is in full swing and both of us have had our time taken up by work. (We work for a lawn care company remember?) :) Adam has been doing customer service and I been doing pretty much everything else that needs to get done short of answering phones and activating new accounts (although I'm this close to doing that too)

I'll post pictures of the new place as soon as I finish painting the "office" and uh, I find the camera, which I'm sure is in the box slightly browner than the box by the living room next to the cat ... or maybe it was the one still back at the apartment next to Three.Hundred.Others. (Inser witty reference to that number movie I haven't seen. Oh right! CAKETOWN!)

I disgress...

Sorry I haven't been around at all lately. I been posting on and off over at my FA gallery. Mainly because for some reason, it was easier to post in it than it is on LJ when I'm at the office. It would be somewhat of a lie to say that I been so busy I haven't been able to be online for more than a few minutes a day. I been busy, yes, but not THAT busy. Just very mentally tired and tempermentally bankrupt. I usually just keep to myself during those times until the clouds blow over.

Its been both an exciting and horrible couple of months. June is fast aproaching and I'm so behind everything it just makes me want to to sit down and cry, just as much as I hope its a terrific month since its Adam's birthday month and we actually have space to have people over and tell him how oooolddd he is. Because he is old, yes he is, yes he is. (I really doubt he'll read this far, if at all...)

Well, space if I can actually get these boxes out of here *cough* and this room painted ... and maybe the living room ... oh and ... argh.

I have a bunch of more stuff to talk about and catch up on, but this post is long enough as it is.

P.S. Our P.O. Box is going to stay the same as always.

P.S.S. What the heck happened to the TP? Did it go boom?
