The Dragon King
The Dragon King is a marionette production by Tanglewood Marionettes. Its been around from almost 15 years and its owners and main performers happen to be my husband's cousins.
About four months ago my husband (Adam) was asked to do voice work for them. They know he has interest and a talent for voice acting, so they decided to give him a chance. He ended up doing voices for five of the characters.
Today they had their premier and naturally, they invited my husband and I. It was a wonderful show! It was a very light hearted comedy with beautiful scenery and storytelling. We had a lot of fun and laughed and screamed along with the younger crowd.
Unfortunately, it wasn't allowed to take pictures during the performance, so the few pictures I do have were taken just before it started and backstage.
The title background just before the performance started:

A giant squid, which is one of the characters in the play. She's almost six feet tall.

My husband and two of the marionettes he did voices for: the starving fisherman and the dragon king's chamberlain (sea turtle).

You can see a few more pictures and a description of the show on their main website.
I'm sorry, I just had to share! It was a wonderful experience.
